Patterned pants scare me. It’s true! I’m always terrified to put them on. I’m afraid of what they’ll look like because, and let’s be real, patterns are not for everyone. I’m a pretty safe dresser most of the time and I don’t get many chances to venture out of my comfort zone. Well, that’s a lie:/ I get chances but I’m too scared to take them. But here’s an easy way to put a little spice into an otherwise simple outfit. Patterned pants! You can keep everything else completely simple and solid and still look BOLD with a great pair of camo pants…or any pattern of your choice. I now have the simple elements of my “safe” style mixed with something a little more daring all while feeling completely comfortable. Now, from now on just call me SIMPLE SPICE ;)

Okay so I know this isn’t technically a “suit.” More like a blazer and shorts but WHATEVER, you’re gonna have to get past that and allow me to make my point. And my point would be that wearing a tie can be fun you guys! What’s so fun, you ask? Why, just look at this funky camo print so boldly slapped across my legs. Cartoony, yes! TOO in yo face…I think not! The tie is a cool grey that has a wooly texture giving it that dressy feel of Winter in Summer. Fun! Fun! Fun! Take your Saddle shoes and throw in a complimentary color such as the blue shown here. It’s the easiest and most affordable thing you can do to breathe new life into those shoes you may have worn a thousand times…YOU KNOW YOU HAVE! And if you have squinty eyes like me you can both protect your little friends and spice up the whole outfit with a pair of slick tortoiseshell shades by Tortoise and Blonde that mesh nicely with the pattern of those camo shorts.
